This magazine, first published from Sindiyh in June 1917, was a satirical look at the war, and particularly at the South Lancashire Regiment. It provides a fantastic insight into the daily lives and humour of the average tommy and the men that were in charge of them.
This book has been copied from the originals, held at the Lancashire Infantry Museum. Please note at the back, several artists comic sketches. Consider this book a cross between the satire of the Wipers’ Times, and the wit of Bruce Bairnsfather. It is a must have for any First World War historian.
