"I walked back to the other place with the cheap, white 15TYL toilet seat feeling I really needed to get one, if for no other reason but the comedy factor of showing up to supper in the ritziest part of town with a toilet seat in-hand. Then it came to me that, even better than "in-hand" would be to hang it around my neck just before they arrive and act like I'm just sittin' around waiting for them. Nothing keeps strangers away and says, "Danger, Will Robinson, danger," better than a tourist lounging around with a toilet seat dangling from his neck. This was a must-do in my book, but it was just after six and the original shop was now closed. Damn! It really bothered me that I missed a golden opportunity like that. Great comedy is just so hard to come by these days!"

*Note from author: This is my personal diary during one of my various travels. It might be considered self-absorbed by some, but it's a diary and I suppose that's the nature of diaries, perhaps even a definition of such. And being that it's about my life and actual experiences, it should be considered "Not Safe For Work." Some will love that aspect, some, unfortunately, may not. Life as I live it is sometimes mundane, sometimes incredible. But it's real, it's honest, it's my life and I wouldn't have it any other way.

More “about:” Some too, will find a method in the madness of the author’s narcissistic behavior and the penning of such for the world to wade through. That there are some jewels to be found, buried in the muck masking the outer garb of sexual depravity or worse, dereliction of duty and work that man must perform all his days, at least that, according to all the manuscripts. Some will indeed find a pearl of limited price, left there by the author attempting to paint a warning (and even encouragement) to others who chose a similar path, or in merely conveying a hard lesson painted in such a way that will perhaps take the reader down a gentler and painless road to their re-awakening to who they truly are (ie; life.) And, if to no other end, it is infinitely more entertaining to read about and see others, even narcissistic writers, make mistakes, suffer their falls and bruises, than it is to experience the same ourselves.

Lastly, since Tom was an engineer and still is one at heart, his sentences are not worthy of Hemingway comparisons, but more to that of a textbook on strength of materials, at times, predominantly active voice style writing. Understandable to those of the same left-brain predominance, perhaps not so much to those of right-brain slant.
