Over the years, many people have asked me questions about living in Thailand. The quick answer is that it ain’t much different than living in America. The long answer is that both of these countries are often worlds apart.
This book (Vol. #1) is a collection of my photographs along with a few short stories about life in the Land of Smiles. Please keep in mind that I’m not a professional writer, photographer or travel guide. I’m simply a hillbilly who has been fairly lucky in life.

…I needed a bowl for food in the condo. I walked down the crowded sidewalk and found a small shop that sold a variety of odds and ends for setting up house. I picked some spoons up first and proceeded to mime eating out of a bowl. The vendors kept shaking their heads no.

But when I was leaving the store, I spied a bowl and grabbed it. The owners started talking up a storm but eventually took my money and put the bowl in a plastic bag for me to take home. Later on, I realized why the shop owners had funny looks on their faces…
